Ngem (conj.) [General] The word "ngem" is used to nullify the first part of the statement/sentence.

English term: But

I think "ngem" is originally an Ilocano word ngem adopted by us Igorot people. (See what I did there?) In fact, most Igorot people are conversant in Ilocano.

Example:
1. Nasakit "ngem" uray. (It hurts but that's okay.)
2. She's hot "ngem" lazy.
3. That woman pretends to be an angel online "ngem" in reality, she's the son of the devil.
4. Pangit ak ngem bagay ko. (I'm ugly but it fits me.)
