The Sipat at Mt. Data Hotel on September 13, 1986
The Sipat at Mt. Data Hotel on September 13, 1986, led to the creation of the Cordillera Administrative Region to prepare it for autonomous government.
The peace process was officially underway in the Cordillera.
Cordillera Autonomy is one of the agreements in this peace pact. This is legally recognized through the 1987 Constitution and Executive Order 220.
