Another young Cordilleran soldier killed in an ambush
2nd Lt. RALF AMANTE C. ABIBICO, 23, from Mt. Data Cliff, Monamon Sur, Bauko, Mountain Province was killed in an ambush in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental this morning, April 19, 2019.
Abibico was one of three soldiers killed in a clash between government troops and the New People's Army (NPA).
Four Cordilleran soldiers were killed in an encounter in Patikul, Sulu on Friday.

Autonomy is the establishment of a regional government for people living in areas who share a distinct culture, history, heritage and socio-economic conditions. Federalism is a political system in which several states or regions are grouped together to form due to geographic location.
While there exists some measures of self-government, the different state governments shall be under a federal government that would exercise power over them.

Cordillera: 65,623 families received PhP 5,500.00 cash aid from DSWD
As of 21 April 2020, a total of 65,623 families have already received the PhP 5,500.00 financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The assistance provided was worth PhP 354,024,500.00. Meanwhile, 59,742 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program families have also received their emergency subsidy.
There are 56 local government units (LGUs) out of the 77 that are already conducting the payouts. The remaining LGUs are expected to start the payout as soon as possible.

Another Igorot added to High-ranking Cordilleran Police Roster
The Cordilleras has added another star in its roster of high ranking police officers.
Newly-promoted Police Brigadier General Oliver Alilis Enmodias took his oath yesterday (April 23, 2019) and he shall be assigned at the Directorate for Integrated Police Operation for Northern Luzon.
PBGen Enmodias traces his roots from Barlig, Mountain Province. He was once the Provincial Director of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office. Congratulations Sir.
