In accordance with the on-going Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, I would like to feature one Cordilleran who made it to Rio.

Friends, pls meet Jerrold Pete Mangliwan. This very humble and very strong athlete came all the way from Tabuk, Kalinga but is currently residing and working in Metro Manila where he train vigorously.

At the age of 36 and for doing wheelchair racing for six years now, he was considered as a late bloomer athlete, but HE NEVER GAVE UP, his perseverance and strength led him to where he is now.

I personally saw him in Singapore Stadium on December 2015. He was waving to the audience, to our kababayans and fellow Filipino athletes, when I first saw him. It immediately struck me that his features look like he is from Cordillera and my jaw dropped when I confirmed he is, because frieendss he won Gold medals in Men's 100m and 200m race and Silver medal in 400m race during the 8th Asean Paral Games.

Isunga Kakailyan, kindly give any kind of support or cheers to Jerrold.

Matagotago tako am-in!
