Tristan Sannad Chatoy, a Grade 1 student from Canada who traces his roots to Paracelis, Mountain Province, Philippines, is currently ranked number one among 4,072 students in Grade 1 throughout Canada in Kumon math. He is also a member of the prestigious Canadian Mathematical Society, making him one of the youngest members in the organization.

Tristan Sannad Chatoy, who is an Igorot kid from Paracelis, Mountain Province, Philippines, is also one of the youngest members of the prestigious Canadian Mathematical Society.

Chatoy is an Igorot, a member of an indigenous people of the Philippines who are known for their intelligence and resilience. He has been interested in math since he was a young child. He would often spend hours solving math problems for fun. His parents noticed that he had a gift for math at a young age, so they enrolled him in the Kumon math program. Kumon is a math education program that helps students learn at their own pace. Chatoy quickly excelled in the program and soon surpassed his peers.

By May 2023, Chatoy had reached Kumon level H 50, which is a level that is typically for students in Grade 7 or 8. He is the youngest student in Canada to ever reach this level.

Chatoy is considered gifted by doctors and has been accepted into the Canadian Mathematical Society. He is one of the youngest members of the society.
