The 22-year-old model from Sadanga, Mountain Province won the hotly contested pageant produced and directed by Ramie Seron during a glittering coronation night held on May 11 at the grand ballroom of Crown Legacy Hotel in the city of Pines.

The Queen of The North pageant claims to be one of the grandest beauty pageants with a cause in the Northern Philippines. It aims to give the women of the North a fair platform to showcase their beauty, talent, wit, and social cause.

Queen of The North 2022 pageant winners

Lawingan bested the other 39 candidates showing strong potential and stunning beauty, competing for the regional crown. Her royal court includes (other fellow Cordillerans also highlighted):

  • Queen of the North-Luzon: Zambales, Anita Rose Gomez
  • Queen of the North-Visayas: Benguet, Angelika Servinas
  • Queen of the North-Mindanao: Pampanga, Maria Alyssa Sarmiento
  • Queen of the North-NCR: Mountain Province, Mericar Togana
  • Queen of the North-Tourism: Baguio City, Genelle Caoile
