4 Isadanga Cops in the person of PLT. Bonifacio Fanged, PSMS Ruben W. Aronchay, PSSg. Didaco A. Fosawil, and PSSg. Fredie L. Pasino - all from the different barangays of Sadanga, and were stationed in the said place were recognized and awarded the "Medalya ng Kadakilaan" (Medal of Heroism) by Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) for their successful operation against drug trafficking. The ceremony was held at Camp Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on October 03, 2022.

Checkpoint at Ampawilen, Sadanga during the day and during the night

It is said that the vigilance of the mentioned police officers prompted the discovery of the biggest marijuana trafficking in the Mountain Province area this year. It is worth more than 7.7 million pesos, which came in 67 bricks wrapped in transparent plastic and weighed more than 64kg. According to the police report taken from the Prov'l Gov't of Mtn. Prov. FB page, this event happened in the early morning of Sept. 13 when a Toyota Vios with two suspects onboard was intercepted at a checkpoint in Ampawilen, Sadanga Mtn. Province.

PLT. Fanged informed that they are aware that some mountains of Kalinga side and mountains near the boundary of Barangay Saclit, Sadanga, Mountain Province is a rich basin of the marijuana plant which sick-minded people take the opportunity to capitalize. Hence, the PNP personnel, especially the Sadanga MPS and 3rd platoon of 2nd MPPMFC laid strict and meticulous operation plans to restrict and dissipate the illegal trade. They continuously patronized the area, and personnel stationed at checkpoints are trained to be extremely observant of new vehicles passing through the road. Anyone who has the audacity to challenge the capability of these police enforcers in maintaining their stand against drug traffickers will surely fail.

The award given to these police officers who represented the whole personnel of Sadanga MPS and 3rd Platoon of 2nd MPPMFC only proved the standard of dedication they had for their job is paramount to how they value each soul saved by the stoppage of access to the illegal drug.

Furthermore, PLT Fanged gave a stern warning saying "Be warned that the uncompromising stand of Isadanga and the PNP personnel in the area against illegal drugs gives no mercy to people who use illegal drugs as their bread and butter while destroying the lives of others. Secondly, when you know that you are carrying any piece of the drug, never pass through or use "as transit route" the Sadanga section of Enrile-Cagayan/Tabuk-Mountain Province National Road. The moment you force yourself to enter this road, be sure you are ready to face the clench of the law."
