Ms. Helen Rose P. Omela, a dedicated grade-school teacher in Ifugao follows her pupils to the farm to help with their modules.

Ms. Helen Rose P. Omela of Ayangan Elementary School, Mayoyao, Ifugao engrossed in her profession as a teacher in one of the mountainous areas of Ifugao province.

She is a Grade 6 teacher. This new normal tested her passion for teaching where she proved it very real.

She used to visit one of her pupils, Raven Claris P. Aduan every Tuesday for about an hour and a half.

She needs to walk for about 30 minutes from the school to the learner's house.

Recently when she went to the house of the learner, they informed her that Raven Claris together with her Grade 7 sister went to their kaingin along with their modules to guard their rice plant against Maya birds.

The teacher did not hesitate to follow Claris and her sister in their kaingin to assist them with any query about their modules.

She needed to hike for another 35 minutes in a muddy pathway to reach the hut where both sisters are doing their modules while taking care of their rice plant.

Their father made them a simple table purposely for them to work on their modules and share ideas comfortably.

Teacher Helen Rose caught the two kids enjoying in answering their modules in their hut.

The kids together with their parents were pleased with the concerns and love shown by the teacher adding to their motivation to learn more.

This experience made teacher Helen Rose realized that if a child thinks of his future, nothing will hinder him to reach their goals in life. Parents need to help children understand the importance of education in creating a better tomorrow.

Once they understand this, their motivation will rise, and they will work for it willingly and without hesitation.
