Legends say Lawit is a wild furry beast that has eluded countless Igorot hunters since the beginning of time.

For an Igorot, his reason for existence is to hunt, capture, and tame this feral creature.

Many have fallen flat struggling to fulfill this life mission and were cast out as "baak". Some were lucky but were shunned upon for stretching their luck to the extreme.

Also, the female genitals. A term commonly used by the Kankana-eys of Mountain Province.
