How to Add Igorotage to Your Homescreen

Your smartphone or tablet's home screen isn't just for apps.

Whatever platform you're using, you can put bookmarks on your home screen too, creating one-tap shortcuts to your favorite web sites so you can quickly access them. Why not add Igorotage 'eh?

The process is super simple.

Chrome for Android

  1. Launch Chrome for Android browser
  2. Open igorotage.com or any web page you want to pin to your home screen
  3. Tap the menu button
  4. Tap Add to homescreen.
  5. You'll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

You're done.

Using a different android browser?

Other popular Android browsers also offer the same feature. For example, Firefox for Android can do this if you tap the menu button, tap the Page option, and tap Add to Home Screen.

iOS

  1. Open up Safari
  2. Load igorotage.com or any web page you want to pin to your home screen
  3. Tap the icon depicting an arrow that looks like it's trying to get away from a square. It's on the bar at the top of the screen on an iPad, and on the bar at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
  4. From the menu, you should see the "Add to Home Screen" option. Tap that.
  5. You'll be prompted to name the shortcut before tapping the Add button. Pick a good one and save it.

You're done.

Note: There's a bug when opening external links. This is not an Igorotage issue but a browser one. To get around this, long press the link and open it in a new tab.
