Danny Kingad Undaunted By Match With His Sports GOAT
Danny "The King" Kingad will face the greatest challenge of his career at ONE: CENTURY PART I, but he believes he can upset the most dominant mixed martial arts World Champion of all time.
On Sunday, 13 October in Tokyo, Japan, the Filipino superstar will take on Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson in the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Championship Final
As most fans expected, the American icon made his way through the bracket with two wins, but the Team Lakay representative has arguably looked more impressive with a pair of energetic performances in show-stealing match-ups.
Kingad had to go the distance with Senzo Ikeda and Reece McLaren, but he showed the skillful striking, tenacious grappling, and ability to push the pace that could see him triumph at the biggest event in martial arts history.
Ahead of his encounter at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, "The King" revealed his emotions about the biggest bout of his career, and how he plans to get his hand raised.

On October 13, ONE Championship will premiere two full stacked cards in Tokyo as a culmination of its 100th event, and one team in particular, has its eyes set on regaining supremacy within the promotion by having its fighters win all their matches.
Baguio City's Team Lakay is undoubtedly the Philippines' finest producer of the archipelagic country's best mixed martial artists, having proven the notion time and time again by having its athletes go toe-to-toe against not only some of Asia's best, but the world as a whole.
In 2018, the team exerted dominance within the ranks of ONE, having a champion in four different MMA weight classes. However, as 2019 progressed, Team Lakay began losing those world titles one-by-one in a matter of just three months.
Fortunately, the year is far from over, with plenty of action left in store for Baguio City's finest to climb themselves back to a pinnacle that they know they're capable of reaching and reasserting Team Lakay as the most dominant stable across the promotion.
Igorot mixed martial artist Lito "Thunder Kid" Adiwang, 26, successfully made his ONE Championship debut at "ONE: Century 世紀" in Tokyo, Japan. He is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.
Winning at "ONE: Century 世紀" improved the professional MMA record of Adiwang to 10 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Ikeda now has 12 wins, 8 losses and 1 draw.
Adiwang's most recent bout was at "ONE Warrior Series 7" in Singapore on August 6, 2019. He defeated Anthony "The Antidote" Do, 26, of Vietnam.
Born on March 23, 1993, Adiwang has been competing professionally since 2012. He is now riding a six-bout winning streak.
