Joshua "The Passion" Pacio, 23, of the Philippines will defend his ONE Strawweight World Championship title from Alex "Little Rock" Silva, 37, of Brazil at "ONE: Fire and Fury." The Filipino defending champion is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines while the Brazilian challenger is training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore.

ONE Championship will hold "ONE: Fire and Fury" at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 31, 2020. It will the Singapore-based martial arts organization's second event in 2020.

The 23-year-old Pacio, who hails from Baguio City, captured the strawweight belt with a unanimous decision victory over Japanese veteran Yoshitaka Naito in September of 2018, but surrendered the title to another Japanese warrior in Shooto World Champion Yosuke Saruta in his first defense. Months later, Pacio avenged that defeat by knocking Saruta out with a head kick to regain ONE Championship gold.

Kevin "The Silencer" Belingon, 31, of the Philippines will challenge ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano "The Flash" Fernandes, 39, of Brazil at "ONE: Century 世紀" at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. This is the fourth time the two mixed martial artists are competing in the ONE Championship cage.

Happening on October 13, 2019, "ONE: Century 世紀" marks the 100th live event of ONE Championship. It also marks the second time Belingon and Fernandes are battling it out in Japan.

On October 18, 2013, Fernandes became the second ONE Bantamweight World Championship titleholder by dethroning Soo Chul Kim, 27, of South Korea at "ONE: Total Domination" at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. On January 23, 2016, the Brazilian champ submitted Belingon during their first encounter at "ONE: Dynasty of Champions" at the Changsa Stadium in Changsa, China

On November 9, 2018, Belingon challenged Fernandes again at "ONE: Heart of the Lion" at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Training out of Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines, the Filipino challenger won via split decision.

On March 31, 2019, Fernandes challenged Belingon for the ONE Bantamweight World Championship belt at "ONE: A New Era" at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The Filipino defending champion was disqualified due to illegal elbow strikes so the title was given to the Brazilian challenger.

Along with the fourth ONE Championship bout between Belingon and Fernandes at "ONE: Century 世紀" is the rematch between ONE Women's Atomweight World Champion "Unstoppable" Angela Lee, 22, of Singapore and ONE Women's Strawweight World Champion "The Panda" Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China. Xiong will make an attempt to be become a two-division title by challenging Lee in the atomweight division.

Moreover, ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion "The Burmese Python" Aung La N Sang, 33, of Myanmar will defend his title against ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon "The Truth" Vera, 41, of the Philippines. Aung is also reigning as the ONE Middleweight World Champion.

Also on the "ONE: Century 世紀" card are four Japan Super Bouts, with four Shooto World Champions going head-to-head with four Pancrase World Champions in a never-before-seen showdown. The winner of each contest walks away with a US$50,000 prize.

Representing the Philippines, mixed martial artists Gina "Conviction" Iniong, 30, Jerry "The Bokodian Warrior" Olsim, 24, and Jean Claude Saclag, 25, will compete in kickboxing in the Southeast Asian Games 2019. They are all members of Team Lakay, an MMA team based in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.

The 2019 Sea Games is the 30th edition of the biennial regional multi-sport event. It will take place in the Philippines from November 30, 2019 to December 11, 2019.

As a professional MMA fighter, Iniong won four out of six ONE Championship bouts from 2017 to 2019. Olsim won four out of five ONE Warrior Series bouts from 2018 to 2019 while Saclag lost when he made his professional MMA debut in Shooto.

Aside from Iniong, Olsim and Saclag, three other members of the Philippines' SEA Games 2019 kickboxing team are also from the Cordillera Administrative Region namely Renalyn "Renz" Dasalla Dacquel, 22, and Karol Estepa Maguide, 19, who are both training at Highland Boxing Gym, and University of Baguio student Jomar "Xanda Boy" Balangui, 21. The other two members namely Ruel Catalan, 21, and Rex "T-Rex" De Lara, 37, are both from Iloilo.

For the SEA Games 2019, the eight Filipino kickboxers in Taiwan, Cambodia and in La Trinidad. They will face their opponents from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines from December 6-10, 2019.

The eight reserves are Robin "The Ilonggo" Catalan, 31, Danny "The King" Kingad, 24, Rosemarie Recto, 19, Xavier Villanueva, Daryle Wadasen, 19, Carlos Alvarez, Emmanuel Cantores and Janica Alawas, 20. Both Robin and Kingad, a Team Lakay representative, are ONE Championship athletes.

Team Lakay founder and head coach Mark "The Machine" Sangiao, 40, is one of the coaches of the team. He is also a former national coach of Philippine wushu team

Niu Kang Kang, 23, of Henan, China was one of the winners at "ONE: Legendary Quest." It was the Chinese mixed martial artist's second victory in ONE Championship.

Featuring three Muay Thai matches, two kickboxing contests and nine MMA bouts, "ONE: Legendary Quest" took place at the Baoshan Arena in Shanghai, China on June 15, 2019. In the fourth bout of the evening, Niu fought Eric "The Natural"Kelly, 37, of Baguio City, Philippines in an MMA match in the featherweight division with Kemp Cheng as the referee.

After three five-minute rounds, the featherweight contest was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Cheng raised the hand of Niu, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at "ONE: Legendary Quest" improved the professional MMA record of Niu to 6 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Kelly now has 12 wins and 8 losses.

Niu was one of the three athletes who represented South Korea at "ONE: Legendary Quest" while Kelly was one of the three representatives of the Philippines. Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Scotland, South Korea, Thailand and the United Kingdom were also represented.

On June 12, 2019, Niu and Kelly had their official face-off during the press conference at Yunspace in Shanghai. The event was graced by ONE Championship Greater China chairman Hua Fung Teh and reigning ONE Women's Strawweight World Champion "The Panda" Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China.

Born on May 28, 1996 in China, Niu started his training in sanda when he was a young boy in Henan. He moved to Shanghai in 2015 in search of better training and made his professional MMA debut in 2016.

When Niu made his ONE Championship debut on January 19, 2019, he knocked out "The Terminator" Sunoto, 34, of Jakarta, Indonesia. "ONE: Legendary Quest" marked the Henan native's second bout in the promotion.

Igorot mixed martial artist Lito "Thunder Kid" Adiwang, 26, successfully made his ONE Championship debut at "ONE: Century 世紀" in Tokyo, Japan. He is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines.

Winning at "ONE: Century 世紀" improved the professional MMA record of Adiwang to 10 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Ikeda now has 12 wins, 8 losses and 1 draw.

Adiwang's most recent bout was at "ONE Warrior Series 7" in Singapore on August 6, 2019. He defeated Anthony "The Antidote" Do, 26, of Vietnam.

Born on March 23, 1993, Adiwang has been competing professionally since 2012. He is now riding a six-bout winning streak.
