LTC REMIGIO A DULATRE GSC (INF) PA, a native of Rizal, Kalinga is the former Battalion Commander of 86th Infantry (HIGHLANDER) Battalion, 5ID, PA based in Jones, Isabela covering the provinces of Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya and Southern Isabela was adjudged as the Best Battalion 2018 and received the award of DSSP KAPAYAPAAN given by GEN BENJAMIN MADRIGAL JR AFP, the former Chief of Staff, AFP at GHQ, CGEA and also an awardee of the Meritorious Achievement Medal award and was awarded to him by GEN MADRIGAL at Headquarters Northern Luzon Command last 2019 for the successful dismantling of Southern Front Committee ng Komiting Rehiyon-Cagayan Valley (SFC, KR-CV).
The successful dismantling of the guerilla front was the first in 5ID and this causes the CPP-NPA-NDF now insignificant and forced their remnants to abandon their former lairs in the municpality of Jones, Echague, San Guillermo, San Agustin and Angadanan or the JESSA Complex.
As a result, the said municipalities are now reaping the fruits of our successful campaign against the insurgents.
This can be attested by the entry of development and progress among our populace in the area.
With this achievement, Isabela is now on its normalcy as compared with the previous security situations wherein the emphasis on EO 70 or the Whole of Nation approach is on the right track of its implementations through stakeholders engagements and the common goal of Ending the Local Armed Confict (ELCAC).
LTC DULATRE is presently the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations, G7 of the 5th Infantry Division, PA based at Camp Melchor F Dela cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela.
Consequently, the award received by the Battalion also made him as the Best Battalion Commander 2018 for NOLCOM.
