Islay Erika Bomogao, a proud Cordilleran from Baguio City, Philippines, made history by winning two gold medals and one bronze medal at the 2021 International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bomogao, who is a member of the Philippine Muaythai National Team, won the gold medals in the Wai Kru Female Coed Mai Muay and U23 45kgs Elite Female categories. She also won the bronze medal in the U23 45kgs Elite Female Wai Kru category.
