Two Cordillerans Top the March 2023 Civil Service Exam

Samantha Lorraine Jose and Azlemere Kate Olegarion, two young women from the Cordillera, have topped the March 2023 Civil Service Exam.

Two women from the Cordillera have topped the 2023 Civil Service Exam. Samantha Lorraine Jose ranked 5th in the Professional Level with a rating of 91.10%, while Azlemere Kate Olegarion placed 8th in the Subprofessional Level with an 89.60% rating.

Two young women from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) have topped the March 2023 Civil Service Exam (CSE), a career service test administered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Samantha Lorraine Jose from Baguio City ranked 5th in the Professional Level with a rating of 91.10%. She was a first-class cadet of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) during the filing period of the exam.

On the other hand, Azlemere Kate Olegarion from Banaue, Ifugao placed 8th in the Subprofessional Level with an 89.60% rating. She is a student of Saint Louis University in Baguio City.

The CSC released the results of the March 2023 CSE on July 11, 2023. A total of 64,420 examinees passed the exam, 54,478 for the Professional Level and 9,942 for the Subprofessional Level.

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) ranked 3rd with a passing rate of 18.52%. This is higher than the national passing rate of 16.48%.

Jose and Olegarion's feat is a testament to the academic excellence of Cordillerans. It is also a source of inspiration for aspiring civil servants in the region.

Jose and Olegarion are an inspiration to us all. They are proof that hard work and determination can pay off.
