Last April 12, 2019, during the Congressional Candidates Leader's Forum held by the PIA in Baguio, Congressman Mark O. Go made the following statement:

"Well I would like to reconsider or ask our Mayor to reconsider his statement when he said that the BLISTT Development Authority will demolish the houses in Quirino Hill. Nowhere in the statement of Senator Gordon, or nowhere that is provided for in the bill that will abolish or demolish houses in Quirino Hill."
- Congressman Mark Go, Leader's Forum, Baguio, 4/12/2019

We denounce this statement made by Congressman Mark Go against Atty Mauricio Domogan during the Leaders Forum. When HNP Congressional Candidate Atty Mauricio Domogan spoke the truth about Mark Go's push for his BLISTTDA (Baguio, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay Development Authority) Bill, about the move to relocate people from Quirino Hill, Mark Go was quick to contest Atty Domogan by asking him to reconsider his statement. We call out the misinformation being perpetuated by Mark Go in public about his HBN 6974 which was passed in the House of Representatives, which resulted in SBN 1692, and has been consolidated/substituted with SBN 2169 on January 22, 2019, and is now called 'The Greater Baguio-Benguet Development Authority Act of 2019'. By the time Mark Go made this statement during the Leader's Forum in April, as a working congressman he should be well aware of the legislative status of his House Bill and the resulting Senate Bills connected to his BLISTTDA Bill were already consolidated/substituted on January this same year.

Even on other occasions and public forums such as the Leader's Forum, Mark Go has stated that nowhere in his BLISTTDA Bill, or any statement made by Senator Gordon, or any meeting made during the talks about his BLISTTDA Bill, were there any discussions made about moving people from Quirino Hill. In defense of our candidate and the truth of this issue, we have compiled all the instances we have found of Senator Gordon and Mark Go discussing during committee hearings, removing people and homes not just from Quirino Hill, but also whole communities from Baguio, and moving them to outlying areas such as to La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, and Tuba. On all the committee hearings available online about Mark Go's BLISTTDA Bill, during the Committee hearings held on Dec 17 and Jan 04, during Senate Session 46 held on Jan 22, 2019, and live interviews about the BLISTTDA Bill, Senator Gordon keeps using Quirino Hill as an example of what their version (a vision he shares with Mark Go as stated in their committee hearing held Dec 17) of their Development Authority will do once they pass this bill: removing the blight and the squatters from the hills of Baguio and relocating them to other areas in BLISTT. Their vision is to decongest Baguio City by moving whole communities out to outlying areas around BLISTT, by bringing back the carrying capacity of Baguio to 25,000 people, just like what was done in Pudong China where 250,000 people were relocated which Gordon mentions many times, where they will make new laws to allow this, which is now in the form of Senate Bill Number 2169 on its second reading in the senate (legislative status as shown in senate.gov.ph). Senate Bill Number 2169 will allow Mark Go's and D!ck Gordon's vision to come to fruition once this bill is passed in the senate and becomes law.

On previous posts we have shared the links to all three bills in connection to Mark Go's vision of BLISTTDA, Mark Go's House Bill Number 6974, Senate Bill Number 1692, and now consolidated as Senate Bill Number 2169 as 'The Greater Baguio-Benguet Development Authority Act of 2019'.

We ask Mark Go to retract his statement made against our congressional candidate, and come clean about his BLISTTDA Bill, which is now Senate Bill 2169 and is called, 'The Greater Baguio-Benguet Development Authority Act of 2019'. During the Leader's Forum you still call it the BLISTTDA Bill even though on senate.gov.ph its legislative status has been consolidated/substituted on 1/22/2019 by Senate Committee Report No. 557 to the current SBN 2169 and is now the GBBDA. Even during the Senate Session No. 46 Jan 22, 2019, they refer to SBN 2169 as the BLISTTDA, even though it is now known as 'The Greater Baguio-Benguet Development Authority Act of 2019'. Mark Go you have failed to inform the majority of the people of Baguio of the real intentions of your Bill, several LGU officials have now been informed of this SBN 2169, which takes into account your HBN 6974, and all have opposed this Bill which is now on its second reading in the senate. We will share in upcoming posts all the official resolutions by the LGUs which oppose SBN 2169, "The Greater Baguio-Benguet Development Authority Act of 2019".

Attached is the video evidence of Mark Go's statement made against Atty Mauricio Domogan during the Leader's forum, as well as a compilation of all.
