Nine policemen in the Cordillera region were honored for their outstanding performance in anti-drug operations on February 11, 2019. The medals were awarded during the flag raising program of the PROCOR at Camp Bado Dangwa Redjie Melvic Cawis

Nine policemen in the Cordillera region were honored for their outstanding performance in anti-drug operations on Monday, February 11, 2019.

The medals were awarded during the flag raising and distinguished visitors program of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCOR) at the PRO-Cor, Camp Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The guest of honor and speaker was businessman Engineer David Sanchez, Proprietor of the Holiday Inn Baguio City. He was assisted by PROCOR Regional Director PCSupt. Rolando Nana and Deputy Regional Director for Administration PCSupt. R'win Pagkalinawan.

The medals were awarded to the following policemen:

  • Superintendent Radino Belly, Senior Police Officer 2 (SPO2) Geofrey Langbayan, and SPO1 Benafin Dayucong, Jr., for the successful implementation of anti-illegal drugs operations in Kayapa, Bakun, and Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet last month. The operation resulted in the confiscation of drugs worth ₱3,175,000.
  • Senior Inspector Edwin Sergio, SPO1 Melvin Llanes, and SPO1 Arsenio Vidal, for the successful service of a search warrant against Jomar Barbosa Purugganan alias "Mamay." The operation resulted in the confiscation of drugs worth ₱102,690.20, cash amounting to ₱81,000, a firearm, and other drug paraphernalia.
  • Inspector Nicasio Sacliwan, SPO3 Washington Kitongan and SPO2 Prudencio C Tinong, for the successful arrest of Real Gold Boclongan Olsim, and Celso Bayongawan Capuyan. The arrest resulted in the confiscation of drugs worth ₱17,043.52, a firearm, and other drug paraphernalia.

The medals are a testament to the commitment of the PROCOR to its mission of fighting illegal drugs and crime. The policemen who were awarded deserve to be recognized for their outstanding work, and their efforts will help to make the Cordillera region a safer place for everyone.
