Eric Oteyza de Guia or better known as Kidlat Tahimik, a national artist from Baguio City, tested positive for COVID-19.

He said that on December 11, the routine swab test was conducted at the Triage of the Baguio Convention Center, and it came out that he tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, he immediately underwent self-imposed quarantine, where he was attended to daily by nurses. His blood pressure and his temperature are assessed regularly as well as his oxygen count.

His self-quarantine took place after the third edition of the Ibagiw Festival last month.

The national artist was very grateful because the people he met at the said event turned out to be negative for COVID-19.

He advised friends and colleagues to be careful against COVID-19.
