ABOUT MFF2022: The Montañosa Film Festival fosters Baguio's stature as home to independent filmmakers, thus profiling the city as a center for film expressions, in vogue with global and national trends. This further strengthens Baguio City's rebranding as a safe and Creative City while exploring film as a tool to revive the tourism industry in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Widely known to be the melting pot of the Cordilleras, the Baguio Creative City is a product of the diverse creative mixes from across the Cordilleras. And so, armed with its gratitude and its growing capacity, the Baguio Creative City turns to film tourism as a significant and creative marketing and promotions strategy for the region's tourism and creative economy.

Montañosa Film Festival 2022 is co-presented by the Baguio City Mayor's Office, Department of Tourism. Philippine Tourism Promotions Board, The Workshop for Infinite Media, Inc. and supported by festival lead partners- the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, University of the Philippines Baguio, Creative Baguio City Council, and the Baguio Tourism Council.
