Mark your calendars. Google Developer Group (GDG) Baguio returns with the biggest Google Tech Conference in North Luzon, DevFest Baguio 2023, a free event happening on November 11, 2023 at the University of the Cordilleras, Main campus, Theater, Gov. Pack Rd, Baguio City.

Devfest Baguio is GDG Baguio's largest annual event where business professionals, startup founders, developers, students, educators, and tech enthusiasts in Baguio and nearby provinces gather for a whole day to learn from experts, network with other developers, and see the latest Google web, cloud, and mobile technologies in action.

There are speaker sessions across multiple product areas, all-day hackathons, codelabs, and more. Local tech leaders sharing their expertise in the event are Norman Santiago of Maya PH, Kurt Renzo Acosta of Plentina, Brian Matthew Mamaril of Catch Creative Labs, Anton Raphael Orpilla of Trellix, Christine Erispe of DeFi Philippines and among others.

Some topics to be discussed includes Compose Multiplatform: Shared UIs with the power of Kotlin Multiplatform, Firebase Advanced Queries, Securing & Protecting Your Data in the Cloud, The Google Kubernetes Engine, Perfect Timing: Being a DSC Lead Amidst the Pandemic, Supercharge your Flutter apps with Firebase Extensions, and Blockchain Development and Verifiable Programming with ZK.

The community is expecting 1000 participants in its 11th year, compared to last year's over 700. The whole-day event is free for everyone of all background to learn!
