Hailing from the town of Luna in Apayao, Cordillera Administrative Region, Karl Marx Dumayas has completed his civil engineering degree at UPLB with distinction. His impressive weighted average grade of 1.75 or higher has secured his place among the 559 cum laude graduates. Within this accomplished group, 323 achieved magna cum laude status, while 23 attained the highest honor as summa cum laude graduates.

Karl Marx Dumayas's success extends beyond academics. He actively participated in campus life and held leadership roles within various student organizations. Notably, he served as the Executive Secretary and head of the Records and Publicity Committee for the Society of Math Majors at UPLB from 2019 to 2020. "Ang tagumpay na ito ay inaalay ko sa aking mga magulang, mga kapatid, kay inang, mga kamag-anak na tumulong, mga tunay kong kaibigan, at higit sa lahat, para sa inang bayan," Dumayas stated, which translates to, "I dedicate this success to my parents, siblings, mother, relatives who supported me, my true friends, and above all, for our homeland."
