Fangued of Samoki was an Igorot warrior deceptively recruited by the Philippine Republican Army during the start of the Philippine-American War.

On February 11, 1899, Maj. Frederick Isabelo Abaya of the Philippine Republican Army otherwise known as "Don Bilong" and his troops promised 250 Igorot young men a large sum of money if they performed an Igorot dance in Malolos, Cavite.

On top of the money, the Filipino soldiers also threatened their families if they did not go. Such in the case of Fangued's sister who was captured by the Filipino soldiers and threatened to imprison her if he did not comply.
