Temperatures have dropped further in Baguio City and several Cordillera provinces this morning.

According to PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) - Baguio weather forecaster Efren Dalipog, at 6.30am recorded 9.4 degrees Celsius (° C) as the lowest temperature in Baguio City.

It is below the 9.6 ° C first temperature in Baguio City just before 6:00 am, and 10.0 ° C at 5:30 am.

He said it was still the result of the northeast wind coming from Siberia which started last month and is expected to last until February.

However, temperatures recorded below 2-3 ° C in some cities of Benguet, Ifugao and Mountain Province, due to their higher location.

Low temperatures also cause frost or flux in crops in the upper Benguet towns especially in Paoay, Atok and Madaymen, Kibungan.

According to PAGASA records, the lowest temperature in Baguio City was recorded on January 18, 1961, reaching 6.3 ° C.
