Contact UsIgorota Athlete Helen Talongen Aclopen from Bontoc, Mountain Province and Sagada, Mountain Province clinched the silver medal in the Kurash (Wrestling) Women's 48kg division at the 31st SEA Games held at the Hoai Duc Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Aclopen defeated Khin khin Su of Myanmar and Duangdara Kumlert of Thailand to reach the final, yielding to Trang To Thi of host Vietnam in the gold medal match.

Aclopen, was a bronze medalist for the contact sport - sambo (-52 kg category) at the recent SEA Games. She paid her courtesy call to the Office of Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. on December 13.
Aclopen was also a silver medalist at the 2nd East Asian Championship held in Bandung, Indonesia on June 22, 2019 and was a bronze medalist at the World Martial Art Mastership held in Chungju, Korea in September for the same sport.
The Philippine Kurash team, the defending overall champion from the 2019 SEA Games, is currently fourth without a gold medal, two silver and a bronze medal at the time of posting.
