The suspect was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Imran Jilah, 43, a resident of Kasalamatan Village, Brgy. San Raymundo, Jolo, Sulu, assigned to the 3rd Maneuver Platoon of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (2PMFC).

According to Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) Regional Director BGEN Eden Ugale, PCOL Bawayan conducted an inspection at the quarantine control point in Brgy. Asturias, Jolo.
