In the quiet town of Bulanao, Kalinga, a routine night took a terrifying turn when a security guard became the victim of a senseless shooting. John Felix Boguen, a 32-year-old security guard at a local fast food chain, found himself in the crosshairs of two unidentified assailants in the early hours of Sunday, February 25.

The Incident Unfolds

According to statements from the PNP Tabuk, the incident occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. Boguen was approached by two male riders on a red and white XRM 125 motorcycle while on duty at the fast food establishment. The suspects, whose identities remain unknown, initiated a conversation with Boguen, asking if the establishment was still open.

Escalation and Violence

Upon learning that the establishment had closed for the night, one of the riders, described as wearing a black hoody jacket, fired at Boguen without warning. The security guard sustained gunshot wounds to his left thigh and left buttocks before the assailants fled the scene, leaving Boguen in need of urgent medical attention.

Response and Pursuit

Responding authorities quickly arrived at the scene and transported Boguen to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the Tabuk City police launched a pursuit to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice. Despite their immediate response, the perpetrators managed to evade capture and are currently at large.
