Baguio City, Philippines - In a sad incident, a 29-year-old policeman died from accidentally shooting himself at his home in Maria Basa, Pacdal, Baguio City. The tragedy happened while he was getting ready for bed with his family, leaving everyone shocked and saddened.

The Unfortunate Evening

On the evening of Tuesday, October 24, Patrolman Davidson Sib-aten, together with his wife and child, was about to go to sleep. At around 10 p.m., a gunshot rang out unexpectedly, creating a distressing scene. His wife, startled by the noise, rushed to see what happened. She found her husband on the floor with a head injury, and it was a heartbreaking sight.

Immediate Help

In a state of panic, the wife called for help from their neighbors. They acted quickly to assist the injured officer and rushed him to the Saint Luis University Sacred Heart Medical Center. Despite their best efforts and the care of the attending doctor, Patrolman Davidson Sib-aten was declared dead when he arrived at the hospital.

No Suspicion of Foul Play

Authorities promptly responded to the tragic event. Baguio City police confirmed that they had ruled out foul play. While the accident was deeply tragic, it is believed to have been an unfortunate mishap.
