4 patients under investigation for nCoV infection in Cordillera: DOH

4 patients are being monitored for possible infections of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the Cordillera according to the Department of Health.

The Department of Health (DOH) - Cordillera has confirmed that Patient Under Investigation (PUI) in the Cordillera Administrative Region is up to four people in relation to the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

According to Dr. Amelita Pangilinan, regional director of DOH-Cordillera, PUIs in the Cordillera are aged 2, 27, 23, and 57.

She said three of them were female, of which two were from Benguet, one in Baguio City and one in Mountain Province.

Pangilinan reports that such individuals have been to Hong Kong and mainland China.

The regional director added that three of the PUI's were quarantined in private hospitals while one was quarantined at Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

Pangilinan has confirmed that the PUI's health is improving and that the test is only waiting to see if they are positive for the novel coronavirus.
