Igorot na dating NPA, Sundalo na Ngayon

Igorot mula Kalinga na dating miyembro ng Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army at New People's Army, isa na sa mga magigiting na sundalo ng ating bansa.

Sergeant Victor K Isican, Igorot mula Kalinga na dating miyembro ng Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army at New People's Army, isa nang sundalo.

Siya si Sergeant Victor K Isican tubong Mangali, Tanudan, Kalinga ipinanganak siya noong 24 December 1963, isa sa mga magigiting na sundalo ng ating bansang Pilipinas, isa siya sa mga lumalaban at tumutugis sa mga rebeldeng NPA na kumakalaban sa ating gobyerno noong unang panahon hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Ngunit bago siya naging isang ganap na sundalo naging miyembro din siya ng New People's Army(NPA).

Ayon sakanyang salaysay pumasok siya sa NPA noong 1972 na pinamumunuhan ni alyas Ka-Diokno. Si Ka-Diokno ang kumander ng mga NPA na utak sa pagtatag ng mga rebelde sa Luzon. At si Bernabe Buscayno, kilala bilang Kumander Dante, itinatag ang NPA, ang armadong pakpak ng Communist Party of the Philippines noong Marso 29, 1969.

Naging miyembro din siya ng CPLA o ang tinatawag na (Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army) na pinangungunahan naman ni Conrado Balweg o mas kilala sa pangalang "Father Balweg". Ang CPLA ay isang militanteng samahan na nakabase sa rehiyon ng Cordillera sa pilipinas. At lumipas ang mga ilang taon humiwalay ang CPLA sa komunista ng New Peoples Army (NPA) na pinuna dahil sa kawalan ng kakayahan nitong itaguyod ang mga layunin.

Noon ika 13 ng Setymbre taon 1986, ang Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army(CPLA) na pinangungunahan ni Fr. Conrado Balweg ay sinunod ang panawagan para sa kapayapaan ni Pangulong Corazon Aquino sa pamamagitan ng paglagda sa isang kasunduan sa tigil putukan na naging kilala bilang Mt. Data Peace Accord o SIPAT. Ang kasunduang ito ay nangangahulugang isang pakikipag sosyo kooperasyon, pagtitiwala at respeto na nagtataglay at nagpapanatili ng tigil putukan sa nakaraang 30 taon.

Matapos ang kasunduang iyon dito na siya pumasok bilang isang Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) taong 1994, nanilbihan siya sa bansa bilang isang CAFGU ng halos siyam na taon at sumasahod ng pitong raan piso lamang sa loob ng isang buwan. At noong taong 2002 ay na regular na siya sa army, dito na nagsimula ang kanyang bagong paglalakbay.

At ngayon kasalukuyan parin siyang naninilbihan sa ating minamahal na bayan at nakadestino siya sa 98th Infantry (MASINAG) Battalion Bravo Company, 5ID PA. At dalawa sa kanyang mga anak ay nakapag sundalo na din. Maraming hirap at pagsubok ang dumaan sa kanyang buhay ngunit hindi yun naging hadlang para sumuko siya sa laban at sa estado ng kanyang buhay, bagkus mas lalo niyang minahal ang kanyang ginampanang tungkulin sa bayan.
