8 Cordillerans among 53 new breeds of pilots of the "Wings Of Resilience" Class of 2020 graduated from the Philippine Air Force Flying School

Eight (8) Cordillerans are among the fifty-three (53) new breeds of pilots of the "Wings Of Resilience" Class of 2020 have graduated from the Philippine Air Force Flying School (PAFFS).

The Graduation Ceremony of the Military Pilot Training Class of 2020 was held at AETDC, Fernando Air Base, Lipa City on November 9.

The 53 new breeds of pilots consist of five (5) females and forty-eight (48) males who stepped into the PAFFS grounds last March 11, 2019.

After a year and 8 months of extreme training at the elite flying school, they were able to fly aircraft such as the T-41 and SF-260, finally completing their Military Pilot Training.

At the closing ceremony, 2LT LEONARDO G VISAYA JR PAF, PAFOCS Class of 2017, led the class with a 97% rating, the highest overall rating in the conduct of Military Pilot Training Class 2020.

2LT Visaya, a proud Igorot from Pinukpuk, Kalinga was given the COMMANDING GENERAL MEDAL AWARD.

The award was presented by LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES PAF, Commanding General, who also served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

To those who helped and encouraged me even in the toughest of times, I can't thank you enough. It may not have been an easy one but I have learned so much. Let us not be disheartened when life throws us off guard, God always catches our fall.

The Graduation Ceremony was attended by selected organic personnel of AETDC, Headquarters personnel, PAF and PAFFS personnel led by Commandant, PAFFS, COL MELVIN A BANUA PAF (GSC).

Also, relatives, friends, and loved ones of the graduates participated in such activities through Facebook Live Streaming.
