Police Staff Sergeant Aldrine Agpad, a 36-year-old member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team in Tabuk City, met a tragic end in a suspected hit-and-run incident while pursuing his morning jog on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Agpad, committed to both physical fitness and his duty as a law enforcement officer, left his residence after 3:00 a.m. for a routine jog. His intention was to engage in physical activity before reporting for duty. However, by 6:30 a.m., he was discovered injured and lifeless on the national highway in Barangay Nambaran.

Promptly rushed to the hospital, Agpad was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The circumstances surrounding his demise are shrouded in suspicion as investigators believe he fell victim to a hit-and-run incident, evidenced by debris found near his body.
